Witness: Tornado was 'total chaos'

Nurse practitioner Jane Harper joins Brooke by phone.  Harper was working her shift at Illinois' Harrisburg Medical Center when a tornado slammed into the building, completely destroying one wall of the hospital.  She describes what the harrowing experience was like and the staff's efforts to protect the patients amidst the chaos.

Mayor: Tornado damage is 'surreal'

The mayor of Harrisburg, Illinois joins Brooke by phone to update the situation on the ground after a deadly tornado barrelled through the area, killing at least six people in his city alone.  Harrisburg was among the hardest-hit of several Midwestern cities that saw tornadoes touch down Wednesday.  It's estimated that more than 100 people have been injured in all as a result of the killer storm system.

Witness to school shooting says gunman targeted 4 boys

Student Danny Komertz was a witness to the Chardon school shooting and he tells Brooke the gunman aimed at a group of four boys in the cafeteria. Komertz said he heard a pop and looked up to see “a gun pointing” at the group of boys sitting at a table. He goes on to tell Brooke what the students did when the shots rang out.

David Berkeley shares his "Indie-Folk" sound

Musician David Berkeley says song writing continues to be a "mystery that inspires" him. His self-described "Indie-Folk" style has attracted a loyal following and some have even paid for private gigs with Berkeley. He tells Brooke in this week's Music Monday how these private events helped finance his last album.
