Brooke Baldwin talks to sports writer Pablo Torre and former NBA player Charles Oakley about the New York Knicks' 23 year old rising star Jeremy Lin. Lin, who plays point guard, has displayed a dazzling array of moves and buzzer-beating shots to help boost the Knicks in the NBA's East Coast Conference.
Hey Brooke....you just did a story how MSG (the NY Knicks) station ran a promo showing a picture of Jeremy Lin above a fortune cookie which said "Good Fortune," and you somehow implied that MSG was being "racist?" How so? You seem to be so politically correct that you think somehow this is offensive? I am of Asian descent and I wasn't bothered by this. You shouldn't speak for the Asian community if you are not Asian and haven't walked in our shoes.
I have never heard of the "stereotype" that Asian people couldn't play basketball until all the recent hype about Jeremy Lin.
His pnraets said they are from taiwan, but they are Chinese descent. taiwanese is NOT an ethnicity. Jeremy Lin also said he's an American from CHINESE DESCENT. Get that straight, buddy!
