The Psychology of the Lottery Player

Millions waited in lines around the country, hoping to get a piece of the Mega Millions Lottery. Only three won – in Maryland, Illinois and Kansas – and they'll each get a little over $218,000,000. Now, despite the odds, just one in 176 million, people forked over their cash hoping to win.
