I'm sorry, but new doesn't necessarily mean improved. The real Roller Derby is skated on a banked track. Let's see these skaters try doing it the right way and we'll see what kind of athletes they really are.

Paul, do you play roller derby? I do, and I can tell you it is not easy and there are still roller derby teams that skate on banked tracks, but all of those skater also play on flat track roller derby teams you need to check out http://wftda.com/ and maybe read up on the sport. It sounds like you are going off of 1970's roller derby that was all fake. Until you actually get out there and skate your butt off with these girls don't question how athletic they are.

My daughter, who I coach, is one of the most dedicated and athletic girls I know who plays this SPORT because it teaches her to accept all kinds of girls, in all kinds of positions, to take a leadership role, personal responsibility and to have confidence on and off the track.
I look forward to watching her play in the first bout in the Olympics and to go to college on a roller derby scholarship.
