How come now one is talking about the fact that the security at the Boston Marathon was so poor. How easy it would have been to have dogs patrolling the area to sniff out bombs and such things. Not just an after thought...isn't this what we are paying law enforcement for to do, their job. Why is it that no one seems to look at the real problem and that is people we pay big money too are not doing their job. After 911 how is this still possible...

If I hear one more excuse of how hard it is to prepare for such things....really!

One thing to note is how important it is to find a great host. Although some properties might look great online, it's extremely important to do your due diligence and dig a little deeper that just the surface. It can really make the difference between a lousy vacation and one that you will cherish for a long time.
