"No Motive" in Disappearance of Airplane

Hi , I just got this random thought while trying to think where the flight MH370 may have disappeared to . What if it just crashed into a deep volcanic crater ? I read the online news that someone in Maldives saw a low flying plane . What if it crashed into a volcanic crater inside the ocean or on land ?

With regard to the missing airliner, I was wondering if they have checked past traveler passenger lists for names on recent flights to see if any names match to the passenger list on the missing airliner. If there were past passengers that could have taken that very flight before to case the airliner for procedure among other things to plan out a future strategy to be able to highjack the plane–to me this would make a lot of sense. True it is a long shot, but then with still very little to go on I would think it is worth trying anything. Thanks Don!!

I no longer watch CNN for the most part (and only during commercials on a much better network). Some of its anchors/news readers make CNN appear to be little more than a spoof of itself. There are a lot of Ron Burgundies on CNN. Case in point, Brooke Baldwin. There was an author on "her" segment a while ago today who it was clear she did not like. She took all his assertions or mere observations about the media's handling of the Malaysian air debacle PERSONALLY. She kept smirking at him, interrupting him, muttering stuff like, "Well I'VE never done that!" Every unintentionally comical egomaniacal news reader in movies and on TV is based on people exactly like her. She should be tied to a chair with a sock in her mouth and forced to watch tapes of herself. She would no doubt turn beet red, cry and then resign. One would hope, anyway. Baldwin. Get out of the way of the story and of your network's guests. You are ridiculous.
Maybe the plane was hijacked and flown to some nation like Iran. Has anyone calculated how much fuel the plane had and how far would it be able to fly?
If the flight crew were incapacitated after the initial unexpected left turn, why would the plane have made another left or right turn onto the "orange line". Suppose that that satellite info was incorrect. Perhaps the ACARS system was damaged and was transmitting on lower power and thus the orange circular radius would have been a lot less radius. It makes sense to me that the plane may have carried on an autopilot toward Madagascar until it ran out of fuel. Is any one looking in that direction?
U S submarines have extremely powerful sonar capaabilities. Are they also being utilized in the area? They can work regardless of weather conditions.

Well Putin was correct the US Media is dumbing down Americans. Don Lemon had the most embarrassing reports and interviews with nutty people. Fox News was once the leader in stupidity but it seems they have company.

I think CNN has been demonstrating a perfectly plausible motive, through its own coverage; a motive that fits the facts quite nicely. Ask the question... how does a committed and truly professional pilot become famous (as opposed to infamous) and achieve "immortality"? Answer: follow in the footsteps of Amelia Earhart by disappearing with no (more or less) trace. A simple suicide would have just crashed the plane earlier. A hijacker would not likely be particularly interested in the South Indian Ocean (even if they wanted to destroy the plane, just crash it). ... So a possibility: one or both pilots commandeer the plane. Change course and move around within radar tracking distance, a bit North and West, suggesting a highjacking towards some hot spot or a possible island destination .. this sends searchers in the wrong direction and, as importantly, burns off sufficient fuel. This all could have been pre-programmed. After a few hours of this, the auto-pilot could take control to ditch the plane in the most inhospitable place possible (deep southern Indian Ocean tranches) where it won't be found. How would the pilot(s) be treated by the world public? No one, as CNN coverage has shown, could say anything for sure. It would be a mystery (typical current headline). If it weren't for the engine "pings" where would the search/investigation be? This small communications channel might well have been overlooked by a pilot. Such a scenario may be unfair to the pilots, but I suggest it is plausible.

A few days again, a search plane reported seeing a wooden pallet floating in the sea. Could that pallet have been a part of the cargo compartment of the B777?
On-air talk of a GPS device and its expense made me wonder if there is a personal locator travelers could choose to use independently of the air industry. Something akin to a satellite phone maybe? Ideas?

On board Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 were 20 employees from Freescale Semiconductor, a Texas-based technology firm. They were based in several manufacturing sites in Kuala Lumpur and Tianjin, China; 12 of the employees were from Malaysia and eight were from China, a spokeswoman for the company confirmed.
“It is conceivable that the Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 plane is ‘cloaked’, hiding with high-tech electronic warfare weaponry that exists and is used,” “In fact, this type of technology is precisely the expertise of Freescale, that has 20 employees on board the missing flight,” it said.
Also a previous Fox News story explained their new stealth technology that makes airplanes invisible to radar, and can also make them hard to spot with the naked eye. Freescale Semiconductor has been developing microprocessors, sensors and other technology for the past 50 years. The technology it creates is commonly referred to as embedded processors, which according to the firm are “standalone semiconductors that perform dedicated computing functions in electronic systems”.
The passengers on board were engineers and other experts working to make Freescale Semiconductor chip facilities in Tianjin and Kuala Lumpur more efficient, said Mitch Haws, vice- president, global communications and investor relations.
“These were people with a lot of experience and technical background and they were very important people,” Haws said.
Hmmm… So much attention on one story and yet no mention of this major relative fact.. imagine that!

I cannot believe the attention his story is still getting. I really have not even watched CNN for a few weeks due to this – the slinky demo on Brooke Baldwin was the last time I really watched and was floored at the horrible analogy.
What I really want to know is has Crossfire been cancelled. I can find it nowhere on the schedule. Maybe I missed the formal announcement due to not viewing. I will continue to check in and when you STOP discussing the airplane tragedy, I will again watch CNN. Please someone let me know about Crossfire. Thanks !!
