Are satire movies like Sony's "The Interview" dying?

Are satire films a dying genre?  CNN's Brooke Baldwin asks a long time movie critic in a post Sony hacking world.

    I know no black person was shot or another movie company was hacked,But do realize 2 of New Yorks finest were killed last night.
    of course i had to hear it on another show because your network was busy airing inside politics. YOU GUYS SHOULD BE ASHAMED! IGUESS THIS STORY ISN.T IMPORTANT ENOUGH

    I just heard on CNN that there are 2 theaters showing The Interview. I saw on the Nashville, Tn news last night that the Belcourt Theater in Nashville will be showing it.

    I think it was a game changer I think it made people wake up ! This is been a real problem for us. I need to figure out how to control us and stop it .
