What you need to know about the Fed’s “Operation Twist”
The federal government is trying to stimulate the economy by bringing down long-term interest rates. The Federal Reserve’s program is nicknamed “Operation Twist.” They hope it will encourage people to borrow more, and invest more. What’s the “twist”?
